source device for cdrdao copy should not be limited to
scsi. perhaps in the future support could be added for
having ide cd-roms as source devices for cdrdao copy?

    You can use your ide cdroms with cdrdao. You must use
    ide-scsi (if using Linux) to emulate the ide devices as scsi
    ones.
