Dear CDK community, today I uploaded a first CDK 1.0 release candidate to SourceForge. Compared to the last stable release (July 2006), this release provides a more consistent API for the data classes, performance boosts all over the place, and is more tested, has better source code, and is better documented. There is still much to do, however. You can monitor the progress here: http://wiki.cubic.uni-koeln.de/cdkwiki/doku.php?id=cdk1.0 I would like to invite everyone to download the new release, give it good testing, and report any problem you encounter, such as build problems which people recently have been encountering. If you like to help improve the CDK, feel free to send in patches, either for the source code, or for JavaDoc documentation, or ... anything is much appreciated. Many developers and users contributed to this release, and I would like to thanx all who did (yes, your name will be added to the author list; that's one of those typical TODO's for the final 1.0 release :) Especially, I would like to thank who worked hard on the refactoring and those who contributed JUnit tests. The release can be downloaded from SF, as always: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=20024 Note the slight filename changes. The cdk-0.99.1.tar.gz comes without third party libraries, and is targeted as input for package builders. Looking forward to hearing you success stories based on this release, Egon Willighagen & Christoph Steinbeck -- CUBIC blog: http://chem-bla-ics.blogspot.com/ |
