Nooo….. more tools is not good :-). There is a very simple solution but I think you already know what I’m going to say. I understand why this is needed at the moment but the problem really is that no tests should fail, a single fail is enough to stop the build and this alone indicates a patch caused a regression. To me, dealing with regressions as number is a bit like - “Only 10 deaths this year”. Now we are not there yet but this is something to strive for and is certainly with in reach. Anyway - this may do what you need for now. > cat */*/target/surefire-reports/* | grep "Tests run" > prepatch J On 7 Mar 2014, at 08:43, Egon Willighagen <ego...@gm...> wrote: > Mmm... thanks for the suggestion, but > > mvn surefire-report:report -DshowSuccess=false > > Still gives me a huge document which I cannot easily use to get the > overall statistics... > > Maybe I should make a tool again then... > > Egon > > > On Fri, Mar 7, 2014 at 9:21 AM, Nina Jeliazkova > <jel...@gm...> wrote: >> Perhaps using Surefire reporting plugin - it used to give nice summaries. >> >> http://maven.apache.org/surefire/maven-surefire-report-plugin/examples/show-failures.html >> >> Nina >> >> >> On 7 March 2014 09:33, Egon Willighagen <ego...@gm...> wrote: >>> >>> On Thu, Mar 6, 2014 at 10:47 PM, John May <joh...@gm...> >>> wrote: >>>> Thoughts? >>> >>> Well, more important that the slow tests right now, is how to get a >>> clear picture of the changes in number of failing/succeeding tests... >>> how do you do that?
