Hmmm. Begs the question then - is anyone actually using the SSSR algorithm in cdk? Is it going to be removed any time soon?

For me it is just an academic exercise - can it be made to be more efficient. Also the minimum cycle basis which is the non-chemist term for the sssr is used by non-chemical applications who may not be so concerned with the rings that are missed - I'm guessing that's the case. So perhaps by improving the algorithm non-chemist applications may benefit. Although this is a chemistry development site of course!
