I use CDex from a USB thumb drive, in part because it doesn't need anything installed on the machine in order to work.

Unfortunately, if one uses an external encoder (such as FLAC), CDex will frequently throw errors because the CDex preference for the path to the external encoder uses an absolute reference. Thus, any change in drive lettering (as when one goes from one machine to another) will cause CDex to barf. It would be nice if CDex could use a relative path if possible.
