    Hi.

I am running CDex 1.51 portable on Win XP Sp3.
For ripping CDs' I use lame dll,
    (latest
    release 3.98 v.2)
A few months ago the program started to add a letter x to every track
ripped, and calls it an x-file! (in properties)
    Example:
    track01.mp3.x
If I delete the x, the track (e.g. track01mp3) plays without visible
    troubles.
But who wants to manually delete a part of many filenames...

    What can it be?

I remember using CDex before without this issue.

    Thanks.

This was happening to me also recently.  I managed to overcome the problem by selecting Options > Settings > Encoder and unchecking 'On The Fly MP3 Encoding'.

I know this is an old thread but the solution may be of use to someone.  I'm using version 1.70 Beta 2 (unicode build) on WinXP SP3.
