I've been starting to look through the (up to now) 344 commits since the last
release and have managed to write about 200 of them in the log file (leaving
out pure technical changes, most of them directly from the log).
I still have to sort it a bit more properly (New features, changed
features, fixed problems).
My experience is that is it a good idea for the distributions offering
Canorus and to show other people what's going on in the development by
attending to the NEWS regulary.
Also it could be helpful to add the bug/feature/patch number from
sourceforge to the commit comment and/or the NEWS file.
I suggest going 0.7.1 rc1 after the next round of fixes.
