This is an open source program for controlling digital cameras, especially those that support PTP. The initial focus is on native Mac support, but long term thinking is to support Linux/gphoto2 as well.

  • Doesn't work w/ OS X 10.9.3 Mavericks...
  • Very useful. Thanks.

  • Nice - Works with Nikon D800 on Retina Mac with Mountain Lion. The file transfer over USB are expectable slow due to the big file size.
  • I have tried with Sony Nex5, but althought it detect dev and vendor, Icarus tells me that this camera does not support remote control capture. What does it mean? I think maybe there are two reasons: - This model does not follow ptp protocol, but it has other codes that would activate remote control operations (capture, time elapse, etc). - This model not implement any ptp remote control operation, so it is absolutely impossible (now and in the future) to be controlled through ptp usb. does anyone know which of these two reasons may be the cause?
  • Simply works with my Nikon D50. Would recommend rephrasing the 'tethered' button, as its function is not obvious. Great piece of software!
