#35 Sidechain gate works as a ducker

When you switch the sc gate to one of the sidechain modes, it starts acting like a ducker; the more level in the sidechain input, the lower the level in the output.

I'm actually not sure wether i'm using version 0.19 or a git version from around the time 0.19 came out.
How do I check?

    Hey magnetophon,

thanks for your bug report. Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this bug with the actual version available in the git repo. Are you able to get a little more into the details in which constellation this happens? To see the installed version number open calfjackhost, add a plug-in, open it and look in the help menu for the about dialog.

    Cheers, markus.

    Hi Marcus,

What is the best way forward in this matter?
Do you want the version number?
    An ardour example session?
    Should I recompile from git?

Maybe this helps with reproducing: I'm using the plug on a bus in ardour, with two different tracks feeding it.

    Greetings,
    Bart.

      Hey Bart,

your suggestions in reversed order would be really nice .) After recompiling and possibly discovering that there's still no sound it would be worth a test to remove the original limiter instance from Ardour and re-add it.

      Thanks for helping, cheers, Markus.

    Hi Markus,

Ah, but there IS sound, it is just being ducked by the sidechain, instead of being gated.
Was that a slip of the tongue, or did you misinterpret my bugreport (and thereby possibly test the wrong thing when reproducing)?

    Greetings,
    Bart

    Hey Bart,

I tested for your bug description, the "no sound" part of my last message is just owed to one of the regular segfaults in my brain ,)

    Greetings, Markus.
