Hi All,
I have a problem with c3p0 connection pool on
hibernate 2.1. My application works on: Tomcat
5.0.28; MySql 4.0.26, JDK 1.4.2_06and we tried both
c3p0 0.9.0 and 0.9.0.2. We have a Quarz job
implemented that connects to MySql and do some
calculation once a day. The problem is the
calculation is done in early morning so nobody has
been using DB for a few hours. The first try to login
in throws deadlog exception (please see JIRA-151/JIRA-
153) and this "upset" the Quarz job. Any idea how to
solve the problem or how to debug it?

The hibernate configuration looks as follows:
hibernate.cache.use_query_cache=true
# For c3p0
hibernate.c3p0.min_size=20
hibernate.c3p0.max_size=100
hibernate.c3p0.timeout=1800
hibernate.c3p0.max_statements=250
hibernate.c3p0.acquire_increment=5
hibernate.c3p0.idle_test_period=100
hibernate.c3p0.validate=false

Thx,
Tomasz

    Hi... I'm sorry this is so long unaddressed. It's probably
    long past being relevant, but if you still do want some help
    with this, can you provide more information about the
    Exception you are seeing on first login? Thanks, and sorry
    again.
