On some servers, there are images containing statistics and other information that is event driven and always in motion, constantly changing. I would like to request a feature for the server/client to implement some sort of mechanism to check a sum/hash/md5/whatever of a cached version of an image versus the hosted image so that the client will update automatically and download the newer version of said image(s) to correctly reflect current statistical information as well as other data that might be hosted on dynamic images, preferably upon client join to the server.

    Would need to evaluate how the current caching system uses hashes to know if it has a file or not. Then add a server message that can tell the client to recheck the hash for a single image (may mean also caching the source URL). Then we'd need to find a way to download the image in the background with out screwing up game play and reload the individual textures with out hitching the graphics display
