We will be doing releases every month from now on. The next release will be at the end of October 2005. This will be a useable release allowing you to create and run reports with the 2.0 version.
We've successfully deployed BZByte at a commercial customer. During this process it became obvious that we needed to make lots of improvements in ease of use and ease of deployment. This work has been ongoing for the last 3-4 months and a new Alpha release will be available on Sept 28, 2005.
Over the last couple months the number of commercial customers needing assistance with BZbyte reports has increased. We are looking for people who are interesting in providing paid consulting services as the amount of work increases. Knowing the BZbyte reporting product is required. Our commercial deployment is going well and the software is getting lots of good tweaks, bug fixes, and features. The Beta release will be coming up in the end of may.
We are in the process of deploying BZbyte reports and framework at a well known commercial Beta Company for a commercial product. This effort will allow us to tune BZbyte for real world use over the next couple of months. Stay tuned!!
We've released the alpha version. It works but is not feature complete and of course has some bugs here and there. We'd like to get people to have a look and let us know what they think.
As we get closer to alpha release we will start using the source forge bug tracking system to track features and bugs. Have a look and see what we are working on.
If you've been looking here you'll notice statistics are not working on sourceforge. We've been very busy preparing the alpha release of the software. We are on target to release the alpha version by end of this month (Feb 2005).
The source code for bzbyte reports is now on sourceforge CVS. An initial build and documentation will be published in Feb 2005.
