Hauppauge WinTV PCI card, bt848, msp3400 chip.
Kernel 2.2.17
When I do:
> vfd = open(devname,O_RDWR|O_NONCAP);
> struct v4l2_control c;

> c.id = V4L2_CID_AUDIO_VOLUME;
> c.value = atoi(argv[1]); /* or a number, say 55000 */
> if (ioctl(vfd,VIDIOC_S_CTRL,&c) < 0)
> perror("setting ctrl"),exit(1);
the output audio is killed. It does _not_ reappear until I unload and reload the bttv2 module!

'xawtv' works just fine, including raising/lowering volume.

Discussion

  • Please contact me via private email (justin@users.sourceforge.net). Include debug logs (use module options "bttv_verbose=1" and "bttv_debug=1", run your app, and send the output of "dmesg").

    Thanks,
    -justin
