the software works fine so far but I can't delete logs, it asks me if Q am sure to do this and then it gets stuck showing the message that I should wait. When I interrupt deleting then the connection is broken (can see that for example because the time is not running in connection tab) I have to restart the software to reconnect.
I am usin BT/$/ under Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron, the version I use is "BT747_1.52.2_de_full".

- The connection tab does not show anything because during download the GPS position extraction is deactivated for performance reasons (that can occur on PDAs).
In the settings, the decoding is controlled by 'GPS Decode active' [I should clarify this in the documentation].
- I do not think there is a message saying that you should wait - this is only the case for erase the log (on the device). A similar problem has been reported to me just yesterday with the erase functionality - the popup in V1.52.1 did not disappear. This is fixed in V1.53.3 that is in the 'debug_releases' section. As you are on Ubuntu, you could check that version out and tell me if the startup script still works on linux.
BTW: V1.53.3 has some bug fixes, but only one or two that are currently in V1.52.2 - it is stuffed with additional functionality (output format filter and NMEA file reading) plus changes to the code setup to allow BT747 to act as a library. There have been a few cycles already and newly introduced bugs should be "almost" (hopefully completely) vanished. A MacOS startup script is not fixed in there (but it is for the 'alpha/beta j2se gui'.
Oh, actualy I was talking about the erase function but as I was using the german version I just translated it int delete.
However in 1.52.3 everything seems to work fine, thanks!
In 1.52.3 I can not uncheck the "Fix" option, as I understood this is the interval the logger should log if it goes faster tha the Speed set above, but maybe I got something wrong here.
I also quickly tried the j2se gui but could not connect, I choosed USB and hit the button but nothing happened.
So again, thanks for the help. I will have another look in the manual now :)
Actually, you can uncheck the fix setting but it is checked again after an update from the device or when you come back to the page.
When unchecked, you'll leave the setting as is on the device when you click set. Maybe I should simply remove these tick boxes as I now know that it is perfectly safe to write this setting even if you do not change it.
Ah okay, now I got it, check in this case only means "write the values" and not activate or deactivate.
But I still don't know what the fix value is doing, is it the interval in which the device actually updates sattelite-data? If yes, does it make sense to have it faster than the actual logging interval (if only using time to log).
Or in another way, could I save power when for example setting fix to 5.000 instead of 1.000ms while logging every 15secs?
Sorry, I promise to have a more intense look at the manual as soon as I have time.
The J2SE interface is not fully functional yet, but you can connect and download logs.
To connect on linux, just enter the full path to the device (
/dev/...) the 'USB setting' works in some cases only.
Hello somebody help me, i have a simple problem and I wonder if I can use the BT747 library to solve it, I would like to download the data logger in my Holux M1000C for my Java ME application via Bluetooth and then clear the memory, is it possible? if yes how to proceed?
I'm only asking because I found comments about the desktop version for a few mobile post.
I'm trying to use the following workaround, I downloaded the full version of the BT747 and inside the src folder, I copied my project for java me folders from the image below, I made the necessary conversions to run on java me, my doubt now is whether these sources with I will be able to connect to Holux M1000C, and download the data logger and clean the memory? And how to proceed?
I'm trying to use the following code for test:
modelo = new Model();
controle = new Controller(modelo);
controle.setBluetooth();//set connection via Bluetooth
