The latest release has wrong Catalognames. I.e. the Catalog for german is names as german.catalog but should be BetterString_mcp.catalog.
The versions string is IMHO also wrong. I think it should be named as the filename but is currently MCC BetterString.catalog 2.422 (18.02.2014)

Discussion

  • The names are not wrong. The catalogs are not meant to be manually installed as they are. The release archive comes with an Installer script which puts the catalogs in the appropriate directory. However, if you don't want to use the script, then it is your task to rename the catalog files accordingly and to put them in the correct directory.

That's actually not entirely correct Thore. I just fixed a problem in the mkrelease.sh script which was the reason the catalog files were not named "BetterString.catalog" like in previous versions.

In addition, we should probably indeed investigate if the catalog names are current or not.

Even if i rename the catalog file it is not loaded. I think the cause is the wrong Version string.

After edit the catalog file and put
    "$VER: BetterString_mcp.catalog" instead of
"$VER: MCC BetterString.catalog" it is loaded.

BTW: this is not a April Fools' joke!
