There is quite a bit of code optimisation that could be done for higher sampling rates: the internal oversampling could be dropped and at least at 88/96 kHz there would not be much difference in CPU requirements from 44.1kHz. Sound quality should not be affected by dropping oversampling at the higher rates either.

    Much of this code has now been done, excepting the fact that it needs to have Colin Fletchers optimisations applied. His changes deliver an awesome 40 to 50 percent CPU reduction in the filter code.

    Integrated Colin's code to all the houvilainens, the performance improvements were so impressive it was more than worth the effort to migrate the code. As such, outside of some third party testing at the higher sampling rates (I have tested the code at lower sampling rates and it works), it can be closed.

    This will be distributed with 0.30.9
