Forgive my ignorance, but how do I record a session with bristol?
Say I want to play the Juno 6 and have my DAW record it, can I simply
set up say Ardour or Jokosher to do that or does bristol have some internal
mechanism like ZynthAddSubFX to record sound?
Yes, you can simply set up an audio track in ardour/jokosher and have it record bristol like that.
Bristol doesn't have a method for routing its output to disk, as far as I can see from the man page.
You can start bristol with '-o <filename>' to get raw stereo interleaved 16bit samples into a file but this is not as flexible as using Andrew's methods of routing the bristol output to a DAW input and then recording as you go along. This is a lot more flexibile.
