Hello,
I am new to Mindstorms and an trying to create an
autonomous robot using the RCX. I want to use BrickOS
with C on the robot to bypass the limitations of the
legos firmware. But I also want to create a GUI to send
initial settings data (not the full program) to the robot
and recieve data after the trial. I would prefer to do
this in windows and was hoping to use Visual basic. I
have seen communication to the brick using the
Spirit.ocx+vb combination, and am wondering if this can
be used to send data to BrickOS firmware. I also saw
the OpCode commands
(http://graphics.stanford.edu/~kekoa/rcx/#Opcodes) to
send data to the RCX and am wondering if that would
work with BrickOS firmware. If so how would I send
these messages to the USB. If none of these would
work, could you possibly suggest another way of
accomplishing my goals.

Thanks in advance.
