    I got this error when aligned the downloaded reads from SRA after dumped into Fastq to mm9. Most of them worked fine, except for two SRA data: SRR341123 and SRR074400. And they showed the similar error:

    bowtie2-align(322,0xb0605000) malloc: *** mmap(size=2101248) failed (error code=12)
    *** error: can't allocate region
    *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
    terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
      what():  std::bad_alloc

    bowtie2-align(297,0xb0605000) malloc: *** mmap(size=1114112) failed (error code=12)
    *** error: can't allocate region
    *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug
    terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::bad_alloc'
      what():  std::bad_alloc

    Hope someone could help. Thanks a lot!
