I have two machines running CentOS 5.2:
machine m1 - eth1:192.168.64.52
machine m2 - eth1:192.168.64.55
everything is going nice so far - I can reach both via their ip addresses.
now if m2 is down, then m1 should listen to both ip addresses and vice versa.
If I understand correctly, I have to use some "alias bond0 bonding0" in /etc/modprobe.conf and configure a ifcfg-bond0 file in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts, but honestly I am totally stuck here. I have searched the net, read the documentation, but honestly I understand only about two third of everything which clearly isn't enough...
Can you give me some insight how to configure my machines?
Thanks a lot in advance!
Martin
