hello,

i've been modifying the bochs code and i'd appreciate if there was something like "make distclean" that would remove all files that have been produced by the compilation process and basicaly revert to a source code only directory prior to running 'make'

this would be useful in a variety of circumstances such as when you want to create a source tarball from the development directory which has been filled with object files..etc

cheers

Discussion

  • This is already exists.

    make all-clean

    To clean only current directory:

    make clean

It also has more advanced options like

make dist-clean (remove everything including configure output files)

    or

make tar (create tarball for source distribution)

  • BDW, why not to browse makefile by yourself and which option it supports ?
