Hi All, I was experimenting with the UI tonight and wanted to see what everyone thought: http://kunstmusik.com/blue-test-1.png http://kunstmusik.com/blue-test-2.png The first has the soundObjects on the main timeline using a sort of beveled border, while the ones in the second picture are as they are in the current release with a flat 2d look. Also, the pictures show the beveled border in the piano roll that I've implemented. My first thought is aesthetically I like the somewhat 3d effect on the soundObjects, but on the other hand, it becomes a little trickier to see the boundaries a bit (however, I'm used to seeing the flat look, so might be more habit than usability). Any thoughts? steven |

Okey doke, so far that's two votes positive for the 3d look. I think I might go ahead with it, and maybe it might even be possible to make it a program option to switch between the two. steven Atte André Jensen wrote: > steven yi wrote: > >> Any thoughts? > > > I vote for the 3d look > |

I like the beveled look, adds some dimensionality. - Dave > Hi All, > > I was experimenting with the UI tonight and wanted to see what everyone > thought: > > http://kunstmusik.com/blue-test-1.png > http://kunstmusik.com/blue-test-2.png > > The first has the soundObjects on the main timeline using a sort of > beveled border, while the ones in the second picture are as they are in > the current release with a flat 2d look. > Also, the pictures show the beveled border in the piano roll that I've > implemented. > > My first thought is aesthetically I like the somewhat 3d effect on the > soundObjects, but on the other hand, it becomes a little trickier to see > the boundaries a bit (however, I'm used to seeing the flat look, so > might be more habit than usability). > > Any thoughts? > > steven |
