Sorry, it was probl. me being > unclear in the first place :-( Oh, okay. I was trying emacs and thought that was the behavior I saw, but trying it out now I see the behavior. That makes it a little trickier to implement, but not so bad. Current I am using the system clip board to cut and paste to when doing kill/yank. I'm not sure if I can append to the system clip board, so if I can't, I might have to make a separate buffer to kill/yank from (I have to look into that). To make sure, it looks like kill's will append as long as they are right after each other. Any other keystroke in between kills will reset the buffer, so if I kill three lines, then move to another line and kill that one, only the last one will be there. Does that sound correct? I'm sure it won't be too difficult to implement. > Besides that, great job! > Thanks for the suggestions! ^_^ steven |

Almost. Actually if the in-between keystrokes are only navigations that brings the cursor away from and back to the exact same position it will behave as if you never moved the cursor... -- peace, love & harmony Atte http://www.atte.dk |

Sorry, it was probl. me being > unclear in the first place :-( Just to follow up, it doesn't look easy to interact with the system clipboard directly, but not bad at all if I use a separate buffer. If I do that, then the buffer would only be usable within blue's coding text areas if using yank/kill (it would remain the same if using ctrl-c/ctrl-x/ctrl-v). Would this be fine for now, or would you prefer to keep the behavior as it is now and wait until I can figure out the system clipboard (which might take some time)? steven |
