I'm taking a look at developing effects for the blue mixer. (Using 2.2.2
Mac.) A couple of minor suggestions have popped up.
1) The pop-up menu offers no way to overwrite an existing effect while
importing it into the Library. As a result, while developing an effect, I'm
finding that I have several objects called RingMod. An import/overwrite
command would be useful. The workaround is exporting it to a file on the
hard drive and then importing it, so this is not a big issue ... just a
2) I've noticed that the extra render time field is not read until I return
to the Score display. I had entered 15.0 here (because my RingMod has a
delay, don'tcha know), and was still getting 2.0 seconds of extra time,
until I went back to the Score display. It would be nice if this value could
be updated immediately.
3) The one feature I miss (from CsoundQt) is having the syntax for the
opcode that's on the current cursor line displayed in the lower left corner
of the main window. I know this data has to be extracted from the manual,
which is maybe not an entirely transparent process, but it would be a nice
feature to consider adding.
P.S.: Someday I may actually make some music with blue....
