It would be 'nice to have' a embedded SSL support in
blat to send mail securely to smtp servers that
understand ssl.

Visit www.stunnel.org to download their SSL support, then
tell Blat to access IP address 127.0.0.1, which will be the
    stunnel program.

Works like a champ here at home, allowing me to access my
AT&T accounts while connected via DSL.

I second this request. Would love to be able to have gmail support directly from blat!

Thirded. Using a separate tunnel is a good workaround for now - but integrated is nice.

  • I'm the fourth to ask for this. Too bad the OP forgot some servers (like Gmail) just don't work without SSL (and it would be easier if it was embedded). I assume you'd just need to support OpenSSL.

I'm the fifth to ask for this. Supporting OpenSSL (their security breaches aside) would be great.
