Not to stand in the way of the "right" thing, but why do you want to weight the whole thing down with SQL/LDAP overhead? All that's going to require is installation of libraries and perl modules. When I chose BS, it was because it required little/no extra packages other than perl. That's a little bit of overkill just for a box to report back utilization. Yes, I know you're talking about uxmon config. But should everything use a unified config?
