Hello thank you all for these insights. Actually I am a theoretical biologist and many biology journals don't accept latex (but they accept rtf and latex to rtf works well) though I often need the good maths in latex. They also have specific bibliography formatting needs. Or at least they say they do but I never tried submitting something that was only close to the requirements. I might try this and wait. I don't think they will just throw away my paper because of this. I was just willing to make the maximum on my side. So it appears that I am an isolated case. For sure physics or math journals are accepting latex and even provide the bst. So I might just submit everything to Science: they provide a bst too ;-) Thank you again. I might try to build a larger bst database sometimes, even if it is only to learn php/mysql, for my personal use and for few people in my field. I'll post something then (shorter, I promise).
