When opening the latest version of WinSCP (4.0.7) from inside Eclipse it opens and then freezes.
Logged In: YES
There is a bug in our code, but there is also a bug in the latest version of WinSCP that causes it to freeze when a session value is passed in as a parameter.
E.g. winscp.exe firstname.lastname@example.org
It works fine without the session. The bug in our code happens because if the session value is empty, we use the default value of "email@example.com" which means the session value is never empty and therefore WinSCP always freezes! This will be fixed in the next release of BeyondCVS, 0.7.3 which is being released like, right now.
Fixed as of version 0.7.3
Hopefully WinSCP will fix their product too :)
Okay, so I was wrong. WinSCP 4.0.7 works perfectly fine IF you pass in a session name that has a valid hostname, OR if you enter in a valid hostname as the command line parameter.
If will freeze for about 30 seconds if you try to connect to a server that doesn't accept WinSCP connections. That is what was happening in this case because of a bug in our code that tried to connect to firstname.lastname@example.org everytime. Oops.
