    hi anon,

    thanks for the report. as you've probably guessed, this is a basic Spring 3 runtime compatibility problem, and will have to be fixed in the next release.

  • hi Tormp,

    Thanks for your reply. Indeed it is a spring 3 compatibility problem. One more thing is that currently it seems that it is not possible to give value of enabled attribute through the property file. Also it would be great for better control if it is possible to give values of attributes like application, track-method-expression, flush-threshold through a property file like "file" attribute of xml-persister.

    the property file feature is provided by a special Spring bean, PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer. Do you have that enabled? Like this:

    <bean class="org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer">
    <property name="location" value="path/to/my.properties"/>
    </bean>

    Then property substitution should work in other bean attributes. Did you try something like that?

  • Hi Tormp,

    Yes it does work for track-method-expression. But as enabled attribute's data type in xsd is boolean one can't assign its value through property file. Same is true for flush-threshold also as its data type is int.
