All, We are working on a new version of Bastille for SuSE 9.0, as well= as SLES 9, SuSE9.1, 8.1 and 8.2. SuSE is working with me on getting this patch on their next cd and making it readily available for previous versions, as well. I have a patch that I can send out but I caution you= all on receiving it before a GM of SuSE and/or Bastille full patch comes ou= t with it on it. Jay has my patch for the Bastille source and we are work= ing towards making it available to the Bastille community via SourceForge. = Let me know if you all have any other questions. Thanks, Niki A. All those I"ve tried so far ask me only three questions, pretend t= o listen to the answers, then stop and tell me that I can"t skip the questions. 1. Is there a Bastille script suitable for SuSE 9.0? 2. If not, what would I need to know in order to make one? 3. If so, what is the exact name and version, and what"s a reputable p= lace to download it from? 4. Are the symptoms I describe the result of having the wrong version,= or do they sound more like the result of an error on my part? I"ve already fallen into several pitfalls, e.g. the one about doing su instead of logging in as root, so I could certai= nly be doing something wrong.
