Band Saw 0.3.0 Released

Band Saw is a syslog monitoring program for GNOME.

Previous releases used to pop up a dialog every time an important log message arrived. That grew old pretty quickly. This release draws your attention to important messages by flashing a small icon in your GNOME notification tray. In short, it rocks (check out the home page for an animated screenshot).

Band Saw 0.2.0 Released

Band Saw is a syslog monitoring program for the GNOME desktop. It allows the user to setup filters that define which messages should generate alerts. Combined with syslog's remote logging functionality it provides a scalable and easily deployed monitoring solution.

This release adds the ability to filter the messages displayed in the message view. For example, you can restrict the view so that you only see the messages created by a given host, were during a certain hour or minute, or that contain a specific key word.
