Hello, =20 I have a Linux server running fedora core 3. I downloaded and compiled the source for Bacula 1.36.1 and then installed from the compiled source. =20 I can make a backup of the Linux server through the bconsole interface however when I try to back up a windows XP client through the win32 bacula-fd.exe file I always get an authentication error. I have researched this for days and still have no clue as to how to resolve it. I have checked and rechecked every password and name option in every *.conf I can find for bacula. I can connect from the client pc though the wx-console program but every time I run the back up I get the following back: =20 30-Nov 04:37 imagesrv-dir: No prior Full backup Job record found. 30-Nov 04:37 imagesrv-dir: No prior or suitable Full backup found. Doing FULL backup. 30-Nov 04:37 imagesrv-dir: Start Backup JobId 26, Job=3Dvicwdns.2004-11-30_04.37.39 30-Nov 04:37 imagesrv-dir: vicwdns.2004-11-30_04.37.39 Fatal error: Unable to authenticate with File daemon. Possible causes: Passwords or names not the same or Maximum Concurrent Jobs exceeded on the FD or FD networking messed up (restart daemon). Please see http://www.bacula.org/html-manual/faq.html#AuthorizationErrors for help. 30-Nov 04:37 imagesrv-dir: vicwdns.2004-11-30_04.37.39 Error: Bacula 1.36.1 (26Nov04): 30-Nov-2004 04:37:47 JobId: 26 Job: vicwdns.2004-11-30_04.37.39 Backup Level: Full (upgraded from Incremental) Client: dns_vic FileSet: "Full Set" 2004-11-28 23:00:38 Pool: "Default" Storage: "File" Start time: 30-Nov-2004 04:37:41 End time: 30-Nov-2004 04:37:47 FD Files Written: 0 SD Files Written: 0 FD Bytes Written: 0 SD Bytes Written: 0 Rate: 0.0 KB/s Software Compression: None Volume name(s): =20 Volume Session Id: 1 Volume Session Time: 1101807405 Last Volume Bytes: 0 Non-fatal FD errors: 0 SD Errors: 0 FD termination status: =20 SD termination status: Waiting on FD Termination: *** Backup Error *** =20 =20 Is this a bug with the program submitting wrong random passwords that unique for each job or am I missing something simple in the configuration files. I will be happy to send anything that is needed for fixing the problem (like my *.conf files or whatever else may be needed) =20 Thanks Vic vb...@dn... =20 |
