This morning I released the source tar files and the Win32 binary installer=
for version 2.2.7 to the Bacula release section of Source Forge.
This is an important bug fix update to version 2.2.6.
=46rom the ReleaseNotes:
Version 2.2.7 has several new features and several important bug fixes
since version 2.2.6:
=2D It fixes bugs: 1009, 1022, 1024, 1019, 1012, 1021, 1020
1007, 1008. For more details, please see the technotes-2.1 file.
=2D Fixed a seg fault reported by Frank Sweetser that depended on
exact path lengths, but the problem was in bsnprintf.c
=2D Double quoting include filenames (@xxx) in Bacula conf files is now
possible, thanks to a patch by Michael Stapelberg.
=2D You can pipe input to include filenames (@|prog) by using a vertical
bar, thanks to the above patch.
=2D A daylight savings time bug in the Win32 bsmpt was fixed by a patch from
=2D Marc Cousins submitted a patch that permits building the PostgreSQL
driver with version 8.3.
=2D The configure option --archivedir has been changed to --with-archivedir
=46or the future:
There still remain a few open bugs, most notably still some problems with=20
multiple drive autochangers in version 2.2.x. Since the next major release=
will be in June 2008 at the earliest, I have backported the SVN trunk code=
which fixes all reproducible multiple drive problems to version 2.2.7. =20
Once this patch has been well tested (in a few weeks), we will release a=20
version 2.2.8 (hopeful the last of the 2.2 series). The patch is already=20
included in the 2.2.7 release but not applied, and it can be found in the=20
file patches/2.2.7-reserve.patch. If you wish to try this patch, please re=
the instructions at the top of the patch file and pay careful attention to=
the need for the -p1 option to apply it.
I wish everyone a Happy New Year,
