BackupPC reads this file in three cases: * Upon startup. * When BackupPC is sent a HUP (-1) signal. Assuming you installed the init.d script, you can also do this with ``/etc/init.d/backuppc reload''. * When the modification time of the hosts file changes. BackupPC checks the modification time once during each regular wakeup. Whenever you change the hosts file (to add or remove a host) you can either do a kill -HUP BackupPC_pid or simply wait until the next regular wakeup period. Craig |
