Problem #1: I'm have trouble setting up CGI for backuppc on Debian etch. Paths / scripts are missing or aren't where the documentation says they should be. Specifically I can't locate BackupPC_Admin. =20 Installation seemed to go fine: tsDeb:/etc/apache-ssl# apt-get install backuppc Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree... Done Suggested packages: libfile-rsyncp-perl par2 The following NEW packages will be installed: backuppc 0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 0B/417kB of archives. After unpacking 1649kB of additional disk space will be used. Preconfiguring packages ... Selecting previously deselected package backuppc. (Reading database ... 12905 files and directories currently installed.) Unpacking backuppc (from .../backuppc_2.1.2-6_all.deb) ... Setting up backuppc (2.1.2-6) ... Starting backuppc: ok. =20 =20 Try and find BackupPC_Admin, mentioned in Step 9 of the backuppc document:=20 tsDeb:/usr/share/backuppc# find / -name BackupPC_Admin tsDeb:/usr/share/backuppc# =20 Binaries were installed in /usr/share/backuppc and not /usr/backuppc/bin: tsDeb:/usr/share/backuppc# ls bin cgi-bin doc image lib tsDeb:/usr/share/backuppc# ls bin BackupPC BackupPC_compressPool BackupPC_nightly BackupPC_serverMesg BackupPC_trashClean BackupPC_archive BackupPC_dump BackupPC_restore BackupPC_tarCreate BackupPC_zcat BackupPC_archiveHost BackupPC_link BackupPC_sendEmail BackupPC_tarExtract BackupPC_zipCreate =20 I've tried removing and reinstalling backuppc, perl, and apache without success.=20 =20 Problem #2: CGI path is also puzzling. Is this correct / expected? /usr/share/backuppc/cgi-bin is apparently the path: tsDeb:/usr/share/backuppc/cgi-bin# ls image index.cgi =20 =20 Any hints are appreciated. Thx, Timothy Snider=20 |
