The only problem is that Rsync only seems to take advantage of the partially saved file if the CompressLevel is set to 0. When the partially transfered file is compressed, Rsync has no speedup. I assume that this is because Rsync is trying to use the compressed file which is different to the uncompressed file on the other end. As the backups are large, I would like to the keep the CompressLevel set to 5 to save disk space. Thanks David |
