Seems like there are a bunch of messages re: exclusions these days. We may need to add the tried-and-true solutions (which appear to vary by backup type) to the documentation, but until then, can anyone help ease my suffering? I'm using rsyncd and trying to prevent the copying of any temp files and temp directories. Here is the exclusion list I'm passing (which is not working as hoped): # # Add additional arguments here # '--exclude', 'RECYCLED/', '--exclude', 'RECYCLER/', '--exclude', 'Temp/', '--exclude', 'temp/', '--exclude', 'TEMP/', '--exclude', 'Temporary Internet Files/', '--exclude', '*.tmp', '--exclude', '*.Tmp', '--exclude', '*.TMP', '--exclude', '*.DMP', '--exclude', '*.bkf', '--exclude', '*.rbf', '--exclude', 'pagefile.sys', '--exclude', 'hiberfil.sys', ]; The "Temporary Internet Files" folder is typically buried on windows in: C:\documents and settings\userfoo\local settings\temporary internet files Ideally, I'd like the exclusion to kill temp files at any depth.. Also, this exclusion list is not preventing .tmp files from being backed up - any thoughts on why that is? Thanks!! Todd |
