Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Bew Resu (bewresu) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: installing 0.6.3 on ubuntu 10.04, looking for enchant Initial Comment: My Goal: I want to test 0.6.3 in Ubuntu 10.04 so as to verify if ayttm indeed supports Yahoo webcam What I tried: 1) Install from repository. #result: 0.6.3 is not yet available #help-me: make it avaiable in the repository 2) Debianize the provided RPM download with alien #result: alien says something like the rpm is insufficient #help-me: provide a deb package for debian users 3) Install from source, tar.gz #result: upon running ./configure, it made me install flex, byacc which I did, and then when it's time for enchant it says this: No package 'enchant' found. Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. blah blah about ENCHANT_CFLAGS blah. #help-me: I know I have libenchant installed, well apt says so. So why is configure looking for enchant? So to anyone who would like to help me, those are the three options I can think of. Please. Thanks. And to the developers, even if I can't run your masterpiece (yet?), you already are doing a great job. Keep it up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=550745&aid=3033184&group_id=77614 |
