Unlike many other middleware applications which create
URLs of the form:
WebObjects has two forms of URL:
In each case, the text "WebObjects" must appear in
the URL and the text "wa" or "wo" will also appear. The
first form is a sessionless connection (eg. when a user
is not logged in) and is bookmarkable and the second is
within a session and is not bookmarkable.
What we need to do, is effectively treat the "wo" as if
it was a "?". There is no point is reporting on the
"0.0.20.1" part as it is quite meaningless in the
stats. We can remove all of
"cgi-bin/WebObjects/app.woa/wa" in the first type and
report the page just as "DirectAction/search". That
would be cleaner.
Should this type of modification go into the awstats.pl
script or is it more appropriate in a plugin?
