    Hello,
    In the statics page the users that logged in into the site are not displayed
    (the table is always empty). I have enabled in the conf file
    ShowAuthenticatedUsers=PHBL and the LogFormat contains %logname.
    Is there something else that I should do?
    Thank you.

    Hi,

    I use

    ShowAuthenticatedUsers=1

    but

    ShowAuthenticatedUsers=PHBL

    should be okay.

    Do you mean that you get a different "Authenticated Users" section in the CGI
    report and in the static report ?

    Hello,
    Thank you for your reply. I didn't understood very well your question because
    I am new to Awstats, so sorry if my answer will be dumb. I use a .pl script
    and a .conf file for a certain domain, that we added to cgi-bin folder, in
    order to update the stats and then to view the reports I use a browser. When I
    run this script no records are updated (the show authenticated users was just
    enabled). From what I saw on the internet the static report is the one that
    can be viewed in the browser (www.sitedomain.com/..). This is the one that I
    use to see the reports where the list of authenticated users is empty. Can I
    look in some folder for the generated reports in order to compare them?

    At the time when you enable ShowAuthenticatedUsers, an empty section appears
    in the AWStats report. Data will be added to the "Authenticated Users" section
    when the next stats update takes place.

    But the next stats update doesn't it mean running the pl script? Something
    like pl -conf= -update ?
    Because I did that and still nothing..

    That's correct.

    -conf= -update
    is the stats update I was talking about.

    If this does not work, maybe your LogFormat directive is not correct. Can you
    paste it here together with a few lines from your log file ?

    Hello,
    The log format is
    LogFormat="%host %other %other %time1 %methodurl %code %bytesd %refererquot
    %uaquot %extra1 %logname"

    and some lines from the log file

    <ip_address> - - "GET /en_IT/mysite/Files/product/product1.xls HTTP/1.1" 301
    373 "http://mysite.com/mysitet/en_IT/mysite/Site/product/index.sdo" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows;
    U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.12 (KHTML, like Gecko)
    Chrome/9.0.576.0 Safari/534.12" - -
    <ip_address> - - "GET /mysite/en_IT/mysite/Site/product/args/<product1.xls>
    HTTP/1.1" 200 400384 "http://mysite.com/mysite/en_IT/mysite/Site/product/inde
    x.sdo
    "
    "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US) AppleWebKit/534.12 (KHTML,

    jarasez

    I added Ip addresses to the two lines and put them in one of my log files,
    then I created an AWStats config file with your LogFormat, run the stats
    update and I got "jarasez" as authenticated users.

    You might want to double check that there are no extra spaces or other
    characters before or after the %logname field in the log file (the separator
    must be one space character; tabs not allowed).
