    Hello,
Awstats is able to generate daily reports as well.
Currently our sites are configured to give us monthly reports, we want to generate/keep a record on daily basis as well.

    How to do this ?
Can we also get reports hourly basis ?

    Thank You.

      Hi,

That's a bug. The -databasebreak option is omitted in the awstats.pl command used by awstats_buildstaticpages.pl to generate the output file.

      Hi,

You can generate daily or even hourly reports.

      For detail,
      - AWStats documentation : http://awstats.sourceforge.net/docs/awstats_faq.html#DAILY
      - my page about that : http://www.internetofficer.com/awstats/daily-stats/

I'm also trying to get daily stats with :

      /usr/bin/awstats_buildstaticpages.pl -config=mysite -databasebreak=day -day=18 -update -awstatsprog=/var/www/awstats/awstats.pl -dir=/var/www/mysite/ -builddate=20090518

      Then
      - The stats text files for this day are created
      - I get pages with "Reported period: Day 18 - Month May 2009" on the top

But the stats embedded in this page are still monthly current stats.

    Jean-Luc,
Do I have to rebuild the databases from my log files in order to see the daily
view? Or do I run the awstats.pl again with the -databasebreak=day option and
will it add the daily information?
    Thank you in advance.
    Michelle
