    We got three different kinds of download URLs which I want to track. Two of
    them are fine but for one I got no results and I don't know why.

    Type of URL (Joomla DOCman):
    http://www.example.com/index.php?option=com_docman&task=doc_download&gid=1234
    &lang=en

    RegEx in ExtraSection:
    ExtraSectionCondition3="URL,(.download.)"

    I tried some ways instead of .download. and all of them work in the RegEx
    testing tool (http://gskinner.com/RegExr/). The
    ExtraSection appears in the Statistics but stays empty after downloading some
    docs and updating AWStats database. My IP is not in the SkipHosts.
    I use 6.5 (build 1.857) but I think that cannot be the problem. Or should I
    update first?

    Whole ExtraSection:
    ExtraSectionName3="PDF-Downloads"
    ExtraSectionCodeFilter3="200 304"
    ExtraSectionCondition3="URL,(.download.)"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnTitle3="Download"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnValues3="URL,(.*)"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnFormat3="%s"
    ExtraSectionStatTypes3=HBL
    ExtraSectionAddAverageRow3=0
    ExtraSectionAddSumRow3=1
    MaxNbOfExtra3=200
    MinHitExtra3=1

    I would be glad if anyone got an idea.

    Hi,

    The query part of the URL is not used in your extra section. Replace the two
    occurrences of URL by URLWITHQUERY and you will get the expected result.

    Thanks much!
    I saw this but never wondered what it is for. rolleyes Sorry.

    For anyone who is interested, I use this line to track our Joomla
    DOCman/DOClink URLs:
    ExtraSectionCondition1="URLWITHQUERY,.(task=doc_download&gid=.)|(\/download)
    |(.pdf)"

    More testing required, but it seems to work fine until now.

    It seems to work.

    Can you help me?
    I'm trying to do the same thing ... but with no success.

    The rule has to be "count me all the downloads of pdf and zip files that in
    the url have the download / files string"

    ExtraSectionName1="PDF-Downloads"
    ExtraSectionCodeFilter1="200 304"
    ExtraSectionCondition1="URLWITHQUERY,.(\/download).*(\/files)|(.pdf)|(.zip
    )"

    ExtraSectionCondition1="URLWITHQUERY,.(task=doc_download&gid=.)|(\/download

    )|(.pdf)"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnTitle1="Download"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnValues1="URL,(.*)"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnFormat1="%s"
    ExtraSectionStatTypes1=HBL
    ExtraSectionAddAverageRow1=0
    ExtraSectionAddSumRow1=1
    MaxNbOfExtra1=200
    MinHitExtra1=1

    ExtraSectionCondition1="URLWITHQUERY,.(\/download),(\/files),(.pdf)|(.zip)"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnTitle1="Download"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnValues1="URL,(.
    )"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnFormat1="%s"
    ExtraSectionStatTypes1=HBL

    Finally! Thanks in advance !!!

    They are two websites, I put two examples:
    http://www.eurojob.co.uk/files/eurojob.co.uk/2010/12/DE.pdf
    http://www.olespain.org/download/eng/aupair_eng_pdf.zip

    I just need all zip and pdf, no need to make rules related to the download
    folders.

    I'm actually testing this:
    ExtraSectionName1="PDF-Downloads"
    ExtraSectionCodeFilter1="200 304"

    ExtraSectionCondition1="URLWITHQUERY,.*(\/download)|(\/files)|(.pdf)|(.zip)

    "
    ExtraSectionCondition1="URLWITHQUERY,.(.pdf)|(.zip)"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnTitle1="Download"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnValues1="URL,(.
    )"
    ExtraSectionFirstColumnFormat1="%s"
    ExtraSectionStatTypes1=HBL
    ExtraSectionAddAverageRow1=0
    ExtraSectionAddSumRow1=1
    MaxNbOfExtra1=200
    MinHitExtra1=1

    It works for zip but it seems to doesn't with pdf.

    Try this :

    ExtraSectionCondition1="URLWITHQUERY,(\.pdf|\.zip)$"

    It's weird:
    with your version I'm getting also a index.php, and LESS data than before:
    /files/eurojob.co.uk/2011/01/BROCHURE-PORTUGAL.pdf 1 0
    /download/fra/aupair_en_madrid_fra_pdf.zip 1
    /index.php 1
    /files/eurojob.co.uk/2010/12/IT.pdf 1
    Totale 4

    With my previous version I was getting more stuff, but even the index.php
    thing:
    /download/fra/aupair_en_madrid_fra_pdf.zip 7 1.36 MB 22 Mar 2011 / 23:30
    /download/esp/folleto_intercambio_familias_pdf.zip 5 849.02 KB 22 Mar 2011 /
    21:03
    /download/eng/accomodation_eng_pdf.zip 2 400.30 KB 22 Mar 2011 / 20:26
    /index.php 2 8.22 KB 23 Mar 2011 / 10:02
    /download/eng/aupair_eng_pdf.zip 2
    /files/eurojob.co.uk/2011/01/BROCHURE-PORTUGAL.pdf 1 0 (why a download of 0?)
    /files/eurojob.co.uk/2010/12/DE.pdf 1
    /files/eurojob.co.uk/2010/12/IT.pdf 1
    /download/esp/au_pair_esp_pdf.zip 1
    /files/eurojob.co.uk/2011/03/BROCHURE-FRANCE-EUROJOB.pdf 1
    Totale 23

    Note that I'm removing the /var/lib/awstats/*.txt hystory before regenerating
    results.
