[AVaRICE-user] JTAG ICE mkII and AVaRICE

Hello, 

In our department we are working with Atmel's ATMega128, included in the 
mica motes form Berkeley. We have recently purchased the new JTAG ICE 
mkII, but as we red later on this list, this new ICE does not work with 
AVaRICE. We have been thinking possible solutions to get the ICE working.

1) look for the old firmware in the original JTAG ICE and download it to 
the mkII. Do you think this is possible? Does somebody know where to get 
the old firmware? Is there any "compatibility mode", or something like 
this?

2) wait for the new version of AvaRICE ;). Do you have any idea of how 
long can it take to have the new version? Is it possible to collaborate 
writing the new software? Is there any relevant documentation we can read 
to get a "sense" on the problem?
