This patch includes 2908584: "Added enable/disable flags for monthly/weekly backups" (not by me) and also adds the following:

LATESTTIMESTAMP: Determines whether the names of the 'latest' backups include a date/time timestamp part. If set to no, the name of the database (or a generic 'daily', 'weekly' or 'monthly' name if SEPDIR=no) is used instead. You may want plain names if you are rsyncing the backup to elsewhere and something else is handling backup rotation (eg: BackupPC)

LATESTCOMPRESS: Determines whether the 'latest' backups should be compressed or not. In some cases large, uncompressed files transfer more quickly with
rsync.

Tested with the original 2.5 release. Not tested with any other patches in place.

Use at your own risk etc.

NOTE that this patch file changes the default for SEPDIR to 'no'. Change it back to 'yes' if you want your backups in separate folders AND BEFORE you run your patched file if you already have backups in separate folders

Ignore previous - the patch file attached to this posting does NOT change the default state of SEPDIR
