  • Hi,
    I'm using automysqlbackup 2.6+debian.3-1 on Debian Wheezy with MySQL server 5.5.30+dfsg-1.1

    When I run automysqlbackup I get the email report but I also get a second ERRORS REPORTED email whch contains;

    • Warning: Skipping the data of table mysql.event. Specify the -events option explicitly.

    I can't find a mysql.event table and I can't find any errors or warnings during the backup.

    How can I disable this Warning error?

    Regards,

    Steve

    Put into your my.cnf this two parameters under mysqldump:

    [mysqldump]
    ...
    events
    ignore-table=mysql.events
    ...

    See:

    It helped me, I had since the update on 25.april 2013 every day an error mail from cron because of this.
    Was a bit difficult to debug, this automysqlbackup-script, because mail didn't work either and the logfiles are deleted in the end.

    By the way, the cron error mail was this:

    Subject: Cron <root@ew6> test -x /usr/sbin/anacron || ( cd / && run-parts -report /etc/cron.daily )
    Body: run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/automysqlbackup exited with return code 1

    By another way, I am on Ubuntu 12.04 (64-bit) and the my.cnf (I think this is clear) is the configuration file from MySQL 5.5.31-ubuntu Server. It is in:

    /etc/mysql/my.cnf
