I don't know if this is the only way to produce the issue, but this is repeatable on Debian (does not occur on Win XP) 1) Launch Audacity. 2) Generate a tone. 3) Copy some text. 4) Click on the waveform. 5) Press Ctrl+V (nothing happens, as expected). 6) Press Alt+Ctrl+V A new label should be created with the copied text, but isn't. It is now not possible to paste text into a label until closing and restarting Audacity.
