With ~250 LADSPAs installed and LRDF categories turned on (not committed yet) I get 10 effects directly in the "Dynamics Processor" category, 10 more in the "Compressor" subcategory and 3 more in the "Limiter" subcategory. But the plan is to collapse single subcategories automatically when creating the menu, so in that case the compressor and limiter effects would show directly in the "Dynamics Processor" submenu when you have no other dynamics plugins installed. About "Change Pitch" - well, changing the pitch and changing the tempo are two very different operations. We probably should add a category for plugins that change the timeline though ("Change Tempo", "Reverse" etc), the core LV2 categories that I used as a model don't have that since LV2 is primarily for online processing. > I'm sure you'll have plenty of input of what should go where.
