This is specifically for fixes for Solaris, understanding you'll take reasonable care about measures that might otherwise reduce performance in Linux/Gcc. Getting those patches pushed back to PortAudio is ideal. Thank you! That means the work won't have to be repeated when a new version comes out. It also means we won't have to keep those patches checked in in CVS as additional files ready to review and re-apply. > I haven't yet worked to get the patches for libnyquist, soundtouch > or dlcompat patches upstream. Would you like me to work to get these > upstream in those modules? That would be great. We are very much hoping to have a GSoC student work on updating Nyquist to the latest version - so for pushing Nyquist patches upstream it may be worth waiting for that, and patching against that version once the student has it in place - which should by then by the latest in Nyquist SVN. Soundtouch and dlcompat can go ahead straight away. It's good to have your help. As talked about in a previous message, we had no one active in the developers building on Solaris until now. --James. |
