I'm recording streaming media (music and voice ecards/ well wishes (had a
new baby lately)) from my buddies hosted site. I'm using the Sound out to
Microphone in trick described in the FAQ. (SB Audigy for both).
When I record and then playback the clip (WAV or MP3) it sounds as if
there are 2 or maybe 3 recordings playing not quite on top of each other.
The effect sounds like a skipping record. I've tried altering the output
(mono/stereo) sample rate, output rate, well......pretty much everything I
could adjust I could. No help.
It almost sounds like a reverb is on, though I have no effects active.
I've tried syncing tracks, but that does nothing. I've even tried SB Audigy
out to microphone in inherent on the MoBo. Again, no effect.
What, if anything am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Actualy you can, but only with expensive tools. I've only heard of this, so I
can't verify it. Taking room information out of material is very hard.
You can work away the reverb a bit with the envelope tool. Pull down the
sections around the spoken word a bit. That will diminish the ring off of the
reverb a bit.
No other ways right now.
