My main problem with audacity is the difficulty of setting the level and=20
the very audible 'tick' it generate.
It's very audible, but in the middle of a recording I sometime miss it.
there should be two features: a smart compressor, erasing such level=20
overflow without ticks (I can live without the level, not with the=20
ticks) and an overflow indicator saying how many time the level has been=20
overflowed (and if possible how much).
of course a multilevel compressor (dolby?) whould be nice, but this is=20
probably an other story.
